2021 Lungarotti ILBIO Umbria Rosso IGT

Intense and brilliant ruby red, good complexity and multifaceted bouquet: licorice, cinnamon, pine resin and sweet tobacco, with finishing notes of sweet spices and red-fruit jam.

Produced with 100% of the “prince of the varietals” cultivated organically at the Lungarotti Estate in Turrita di Montefalco. Fermentation in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for 25 days, 10 months aging in 30 Hl barrels followed by 6 months in bottle.

When the project of this new wine was born, we started to call this wine “bio”, meaning “organic” and so we decided to give this name to the wine: it can be read with an emphasis on the first or the second “i”.
