2018 Domaine Thomson Gevrey-Chambertin "Les Evocelles"

2018 was considered a hot vintage with very good crop levels. Medium to deep red colour with a good purple tint, the bouquet is spicy and black-cherried, with forest berry touches. The wine is full in the mouth and ample, smoothly-textured and rounded, with boldness and a big finish that expands and lingers a long time. Stacks of cheery-like fruit but remarkably complex at the same time. Really fine, lovely wine.

The Gevrey-Chambertin "Les Evocelles" is produced by the renowned Burgundy winemaker Gérard Quivy.
